However, it doesn't always useful in the world because credit cards are still not the major way to pay in some countries.

Credit cards are useful, but companies not always issue for students. Then you need to use other ways. Travel Passport is one of the ways to keep your cash. You can use everywhere like a debit card. Travel Passport's benefit is that you can buy an original currencies when you get out. In addition, you can re-deposit money on it online, or ATM.
Without this Travel Passport, there are a lot of services in your area. The service forms are different from countries. If you have a travel plan, I strongly recommend you to check similar kind of services in your country before you start traveling.
Traveler's Check is one of the safest ways instead of money. You can buy it at bank blanches near your home. The charge rate is not high, and they can re-issue if you loose it on your travel sites. One thing you need to care is that Traveler's Check is not almighty. In small shops, they can't treat it. Some companies don't treat Visa/Master, but treat American Express. Some are opposite of this. If you need real cash for your travel, you can bring it to a local bank branch near your travel sites, and exchange it.

Travel Insurance is very important for you because it's cover when you suffer not only yoru sickness, injure, but also something bad things. Normally, it costs very much, but, you may be able to avoid some of the cost with some ways.
